My Holiday Highlights

The highlight of my holiday was when we went down to Taupo.  First of all let me get this strait, yes we did catch trout, yes we did drive for 5 hours strait, and yes we did catch catfish, and 6 of them. The catfish were slimy and green, wet and pestering little things.

By pestering, I mean annoying and they were pests because they were not native, they were not pretty,
but they were really ugly!

Anyways, we caught catfish, so lets get on with the other parts. The lake we fished in was crystal clear, and full to the top with trout. You could see trout swimming around in the lake, large trout, tiny trout and even freshwater lobsters.
The lobsters were interesting little things because their claws were HUGE!
Compared to themselves, they are tiny.

In the morning, I woke up to a deep frost, but I was in my bed so I was fine. The sun defrosted the ice quickly so later at 9.30 I decided to go for a bike ride to the river-mouth and back. On the way back I spotted a trout, a lonely trout, swimming in a shallow part of the river. It didn't have any other fish with it, then I biked along about 10 metres and saw a school of trout that had at-least 25 trout swimming in a deep crystal clear pool.

When I got back it was sadly time to go. But I can't wait to come back next time!

Mother's Day Poem

This week on Mother's Day I made a poem to describe my Mum.

 She loved it!

She even said she was going to frame it.

Here is a picture of it.

 I hope you like it!

Questions about my learning

How have you been kind this week?
By helping my friend's sister when she got a wasp sting.

What questions have you asked this week?
I asked my Mum at my school aspirations, "do you have anything else about my learning that you are worried about."

What is one thing that you have learned this week?
How to use similes in my writing.

What was your favorite mistake this week?
Forgetting the name of someone at my school aspirations.

How can you make next week great?
By helping other people that get hurt or by helping new people fell welcomed to our school.

How Maui Fished Up The North Island

Today I have done a play about how Maui fished up the north island.

It was hard work trying to practice how to do this play, but we got there in the end.

The easiest part was saying what my character was supposed to say.

The hardest parts were practicing, and acting.

It was a bit of a challenge but it was fun and worth it.

Week 6 Blog

We are learning how to post on our Blog.

The trickiest thing about posting on my Blog is remembering how and what to do.
The easiest thing was probably the writing because I am good at spelling.
I need to start commenting on other peoples Blogs
